Samsung Notes is a versatile application that allows users to create and edit documents across mobile, tablet, and PC platforms, as well as collaborate with others. The app offers features such as the ability to add annotations to PDFs using the S Pen and create documents with images or voice recordings. Additionally, Samsung Notes allows for seamless integration with various apps including PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

To begin utilizing Samsung Notes, users can easily create a new note by tapping the "+" icon located in the bottom right corner of the main screen. Newly created notes will have the ".sdocx" extension, ensuring compatibility and ease of access.

Protecting important notes is made simple with Samsung Notes. To secure notes, users can navigate to the main screen, tap "More Options" in the upper right corner, select "Settings," and then choose "Lock Note." From there, users can select their preferred note locking method and password. For added convenience, notes can also be locked individually by tapping "More Options" on the screen of the desired note and selecting "Lock Note."

Another notable feature of Samsung Notes is its support for handwritten notes. Users can easily incorporate their own handwriting by tapping the "Handwriting" icon while writing a note; this allows for a personalized touch and contributes to a more intuitive note-taking experience.

In addition to text and handwriting, Samsung Notes provides an option to seamlessly add photos. Users can tap the photo icon within a note to take a photo in real-time or load and edit existing photos. This functionality enhances the ability to capture visual information alongside text-based content.

A unique functionality of Samsung Notes is its capability to record audio through the Voice Recording icon while writing a note. This feature enables users to create audio-enhanced notes, combining important information with auditory cues.

Samsung Notes offers a diverse range of writing tools for a personalized note-taking experience. By tapping the Pen icon while writing a note, users can select from various writing tools, including pens, fountain pens, pencils, and highlighters. Furthermore, users can adjust the color and thickness of these tools to suit their preferences. The Eraser icon enables easy removal of unwanted content, further enhancing the editing capabilities of the app.

To facilitate seamless transition and data import from other note-taking apps, users can utilize the Smart Switch feature. This feature allows for importing data created in other Samsung apps such as Notes and Memo or previously saved on different devices. Furthermore, users can also import their existing notes and memos using their Samsung account.

It is important to note that certain app access permissions may be required for optimal use of Samsung Notes. For instance, the Storage permission is necessary to save and load document files. While optional permissions such as Photos and Videos are not mandatory for the basic functionality of the app, they provide additional capabilities to users such as adding pictures and videos to notes. Other optional permissions include Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera which are used for specific features like receiving notifications about shared notes, adding audio or voice recordings to notes, checking for updates, and adding pictures or scanned documents to notes respectively.
